A My Favorite Things party is starting to catch on with so many of my friend groups, and I love it! I just finished attending my 4th party of this kind for this Christmas season, and it never gets old. In fact, after last night's party, one newbie exclaimed, "Let's do this again next week!" Haha
If you're not familiar with this party theme, check out the details here. Like last year, the limit for each gift was $15-20. Here is what I brought to past parties that still remain as some of my favorites:
- 2014: Flylady's rubba scrubba
- 2015: A collection of spices from The Savory Spice Shop, one of my favorite stores in downtown Franklin
- 2016: A jar of pickled okra, Bloody Mary mix, and a small bottle of vodka
- 2017: A Christmas tea towel I bought at Sanctuary South (one of my favorite gift shops)
- 2018: A collection of several items: stainless steel condiment cups, baking cups, and homemade cinnamon rolls
- 2019: Stainless steel spoon straws
- 2020: Hint flavored water and Tea Forte's herbal retreat presentation box
- Pantry labels I especially love these designs and have them not only throughout my pantry, but also my refrigerator. For my closest friends, I know this is a shocker.
- Homemade hot tamales and ingredients to make my favorite chili recipe
- Two of my favorite holiday treats: Evan Williams spiked eggnog and Pepperidge Farms Chessman Christmas cookies. These cookies are great to eat by themselves, but they're also great to use for Paula Deen's Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding recipe. The holiday edition of these cookies makes it especially festive for your Christmas table!
- One of my favorite places is the David Arms art studio in Leiper's Fork. It's one of the first places I take new out-of-town guests. His marble coaster makes for a sweet piece of art when placed on a small plate stand.
Although I'm certain I may have overlooked some items, here are some of the other favorite things shared from all four parties (in no particular order):
